DIFK Managing Director participates as expert in the FDIC training program

DIFK Managing Director, Mrs. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi, in expert capacity, participated at the pilot session of a new training course, called FDIC 101, developed by United States of America Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) to provide a comprehensive overview of the FDIC’s key policies and procedures to execute its primary functions. The training course was held on 30 March – 3 April 2015 at the FDIC’s Seidman Center in Arlington, VA. Over the week, senior FDIC experts have explained many topics including: FDIC interaction with other Federal and State banking regulatory agencies as part of the US financial safety net; FDIC management of Deposit Insurance Fund and premium assessment; discuss bank resolution strategies available to resolve banks and practical application; how FDIC promotes depositor protection and awareness; and FDIC’s role in crisis management, addressing systemic risks in the financial system and cross-border coordination.
The pilot session of the FDIC 101 training course was held for the first time attended by deposit insurance experts invited by nomination from around the world.
