Senior Compensation Officer

Ms. Lirika Ulaj has been a Senior Compensation Officer at the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo since May 2015. She is responsible for leading the compensation process of insured depositors, the analysis of data submitted by member banks in the format defined by DIFK, and for the accurate and rapid determination of insured deposits, as the main mandate of the DIFK.

Ms. Ulaj has more than 12 years of experience in the financial sector. Prior to her engagement with the DIFK, she worked as a senior official under the Department of Budget and Financial Control in one of the commercial banks operating in Kosovo, where she was responsible for the preparation of various financial statements and reports (including part of the CBK reports). Afterwards she also worked as operations manager and at the same time was responsible for organizing and managing the branch work.

Ms. Ulaj has completed her Bachelor and Master studies at the University of Prishtina, with a major in Banking, Finance and Accounting.

Ms. Ulaj has participated in professional trainings and seminars organized by the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) and the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI).
