Senior Finance Officer

Mr. Vllaznim Bytyqi is Senior Finance Officer of Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo since August 2012. Mr. Bytyqi covers technical areas in accounting, finance, and investment. Mr. Bytyqi was involved in many important policy initiative related to assessment of DIFK financial sustainability which includes bank risk exposure analysis, setting deposit insurance premium rates and optimization of deposit insurance fund target level. Mr. Bytyqi has been part of important projects of international cooperation with external partners such as IMF, World Bank, KfW, EBRD etc.

Mr. Vllaznim Bytyqi has more than 12 years of working experience in financial sector. Prior to joining DIFK, Mr. Bytyqi held position as Financial Controller in one of leading commercial banks. He has also international research experience working for Europe and Central Asia Region in the World Bank in Washington DC.

In his capacity as Senior Finance Officer at DIFK, has been active in representing DIFK on the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) and European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI). Mr. Bytyqi was a member of IADI Research and Guidance Committee, Subcommittee on Deposit Insurance Fund Target Ratio. He also contributed to EFDI Working Group on “Risk-based premiums system for deposit insurance schemes”. Mr. Bytyqi holds an Masters Degree with specialization in Financial Management from University of Delaware (USA). Mr. Bytyqi is receipt of KAEF Graduate Fellowship Program. He is also receipt of Central Bank Young Economist Award. Mr. Bytyqi currently is Charted Financial Analyst (CFA) candidate.
