DIFK developed its Five-Year Strategy for institutional development 2018-2022

A joint workshop chaired by the Managing Director, Violeta Arifi Krasniqi and with the participation of all employees established the DIFK strategic development direction for the next five years 2018-2022. The workshop was held in Tirana on October 2-4, 2017. Four strategic objectives were determined that meet institutional requirements for development and that are in line with international standards. The following strategic objectives were established: 1) Achieving operational and financial preparedness for 7 day compensation; 2) Enhancing secondary legislation in a comprehensive framework that is procedurally supported and drafting recommendations on deposit insurance law based on operational experience; 3) Modernization of DIFK physical and technological infrastructure that ensures effective operation and productivity; 4) Achieving high public awareness on deposit insurances and fulfilment of standards of European Directive and Core Principles of IADI. In addition, the workshop has defined sub-objectives and activities that ensure fulfilment of strategic objectives. DIFK reviewed its Vision and Mission and decided on Values and Principles that define the DIFK organisational culture.
Draft Strategic Plan 2018-2022 will be proposed to Management Board for review and adoption, and for consultation with stakeholders and following consultations, it will ultimately be adopted at the end of the current strategic cycle in December 2017.
