DIFK and World Bank deepen further their cooperation

DIFK Managing Director Ms. Neziraj Elshani discussed the ongoing support and further cooperation with the World Bank financial sector representatives for Kosovo Ms. Blerta Qerimi Private Sector Specialist and Mr. Alper Ahmet Orguz Senior Financial Sector Specialist.

The meeting underlined the successful completion of the 2019 annual project with the World Bank, thus advancing (i) the regulatory framework on DIFK funding, (ii) the framework for co-operation with financial safety net stakeholders and (iii) DIFK coverage-funding analysis.

Subsequently, developments in the sector of deposit insurance system and mid-term plans of DIFK were discussed. During 2020, the World Bank expresses its readiness to support DIFK to further develop its legal and regulatory frameworks to strengthen DIFK’s internal governance, operational capacity, and readiness to respond to contingencies.

DIFK thanks the World Bank on this occasion for its continued support and cooperation to DIFK, underscoring its further commitment to effective cooperation in the completion of projects.
