DIFK met IMF delegation to discuss recent developments and future reforms of Deposit Insurance System

Pristina, 14 March 2025 – The Managing Director of the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo (DIFK), Ms. Shqipe Devaja, together with her senior team, welcomed a delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF), led by Mr. David Amaglobeli, Deputy Chief of European Department of IMF, along with his team.
Ms. Devaja expressed her appreciation for the IMF’s role in supporting financial stability reforms.
Discussions centered on recent developments in the deposit insurance system in the Republic of Kosovo and DIFK’s strategic objectives aimed at further strengthening of deposit insurance system. Among topics of discussions were upcoming policy and legislative reforms, deposit insurance coverage and funding adequacy, contingency liquidity planning, and DIFK’s role in bank resolution.
