DIFK representatives are attending the Annual General Meeting and the International Conference of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI) which is being held in Rhodes, Greece

The European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), where DIFK is a full member, is holding its 2022 Annual General Meeting and International Conference for the period 25-27 May in Rhodes, Greece, organized by the Hellenic Deposit & Investment Guarantee Fund (TEKE). Participants, EFDI members, from 44 delegations are attending this event. DIFK was represented by a member of the Management Board, Mrs. Fetije Ukaj, Managing Director, Mrs. Arijeta Neziraj Elshani and Mr. Vllaznim Bytyqi, Senior Finance Officer.

The main topic of this conference is “New Challenges and Disruptions in the financial safety-net”. During this three-day meeting, discussions will be held in five different panels, in the format of an interview, with questions and answers about topics related to deposit insurance, such as: Financial Innovation, Digitalization, regulation, environmental risk and disruptions, cyber risk and data protection. The panels will explore how European Deposit Guarantee Schemes prepare for the various challenges arising from innovative technologies, climate change or by the changing regulations.

In addition to participating in the conference, DIFK representatives will also participate in the respective working groups, which address specific topics such as: stress tests, risk and controls, public awareness, as well as in the General Assembly where, among others, the new board of this forum and the financial reports will be voted ,and the work of different working groups will be presented.
