DIFK’s staff has concluded the study visit to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund of Türkiye (SDIF)

On December 12, 2023, DIFK’s staff was hosted on a study visit by the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (SDIF) of Türkiye in Istanbul. This visit was carried out in the framework of the many years of bilateral cooperation between DIFK and SDIF in the exchange of experiences and knowledge in the field of deposit insurance.
The purpose of the study visit was to obtain insights on the procedures and process of compensation of depositors by SDIF in an insured event. Such study visits to jurisdictions that have had compensation processes help to share best practices in the process of compensation of depositors in case of an insured event.
