Managing Director Attended IADI Executive Council and Committee Meetings, and 2017 Biennial IADI Research Conference

Managing Director, Ms. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi, in the capacity of a Member, participated in Committee meetings and the 52nd IADI (International Association of Deposit Insurers) Executive Council Meeting, where a series of decisions were reached in support of the Association’s activities. At the 52nd IADI Executive Council Meeting, it was agreed to adopt Terms of Reference for the following IADI Executive Council Committees:  Audit and Risk, Training and Technical Assistance, Member Relations, Core Principles and Research.

In addition, on June 1 and 2, Managing Director, Ms. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi attended the Biennial IADI Research Conference on: Designing an Optimal Deposit Insurance System – Theory and Practice. The two-day Conference included seven research paper presentations, and the final session was a Regulator’s Roundtable: Practice Meets Theory – Perspectives on the Global Financial Safety Net.

The event was held at the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) in Basel, Switzerland from May 29 – June 2, 2017.
