Managing Director participated in a workshop organized by the European Banking Authority

At the invitation of the European Banking Authority “ABE”, the Managing Director Ms. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi participated in the first workshop organized on EBA Guidelines on stress-testing of the Deposit Guarantee Schemes “DGS”.  The workshop was held in London on February 21, 2017 and provided a forum for policy makers and practitioners to share their experiences in applying the EBA Guidelines in their systems.

Initially, all participants presented the progress on the implementation of the SGD stress test framework, where DSS progress in Kosovo in this regard is considered satisfactory as we managed to conduct SCV and partly operational capacity testing. After the presentation of the goals and rationale for these guidelines, countries like Hungary, France, Croatia, Lithuania and the UK shared their experiences about the design of the required framework. Topics discussed were: 1.) Stress test planning, 2.) SCV testing, 3.) Operational capacities testing, 4.) Discussion on financing capacity and, 5) cooperation with other partners.

Thanks to the exchange of experiences between participants, DIFK benefited by complementing its regulation with specific requirements aimed at improving the quality of SCV.
