DIFK marks the technical cooperation with EBRD for the development of the system for compensation of depositors

At a press conference held on 27 July 2016, Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo “DIFK” and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development “EBRD” signed the technical cooperation agreement for the development of the system for compensation of depositors. The project is based on the signed grant agreement in the amount of 256 thousand Euros, where EBRD provides a grant of 230 thousand Euros and DIFK will provide co-financing of 25 thousand Euros. Technical cooperation project with the EBRD is being completed within the scope of the Loan Agreement for credit line for DIFK of 10 million euros, fully guaranteed by the Republic of Kosovo, through the Ministry of Finance.
Guest speakers in Press Conference was: Mrs. Shkendije Himaj-Zekaj, Chairperson of the Management Board of DIFK , Mr. Avdullah Hoti, Ministry of Finance, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, Deputy Governor, the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Elena Petrovska, Head of Office, EBRD Prishtina Resident Office, Mr. Ilir Aliu, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Kosovo Bankers Assocation, Mr. Jeton Arifi, Director for External Relations and Public, the National Agency for Protection of Personal as well as participants from the Central Bank of Kosovo, the Member Banks of DIFK and representatives from the media in Kosovo.
