DIFK Delegation Participates in the 2026 Annual General Meeting and International Conference of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI)

DIFK delegation, represented by Managing Director Ms. Shqipe Devaja and senior officials Ms. Fatmire Bajrami and Mr. Ragmi Dalipi, is participating in the Annual General Meeting and International Conference of the European Forum of Deposit Insurers (EFDI), where DIFK is a full member hosted by the Bank Deposit Guarantee Fund of Romania (FGDB) in Bucharest.

As part of the Annual General Meeting, the annual International Conference on Deposit Insurance Schemes is also taking place under the theme “Uncharted Territories: Banking Crisis Management 2.0.”with  representatives of deposit insurance schemes, supervisory authorities, financial institutions, and european organizations are participating in the conference.

During the high-level EFDI conference, participants are discussing recent developments and reforms related to the new Crisis Management and Deposit Insurance (CMDI) framework, challenges associated with financial innovation and the FinTech era, as well as the management of cross-border risks in the banking sector.

Participation in this high-level conference underscores DIFK commitment to further strengthening the deposit insurance system, advancing structural reforms and the regulatory framework, and exchanging experiences with European and international counterpart institutions. These efforts contribute to operational preparedness and the fulfillment of its mandate to protect depositors and support the CBK in maintaining financial stability in the Republic of Kosovo.
