DIFK attended the conference on banking resolution, crisis management and issues related to deposit insurance

Three representatives from the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo, Director Ms. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi, Ms. Lirika Ulaj and Mr. Besmir Kuqi took part in the International Conference organized jointly by the Financial Stability Institute (FSI) of the Bank for International Settlements (BIS) and the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI).

Topics on the implementation of new methods in the major bank resolution as Bail-in, contingent convertible capital and TLAC from the perspective of deposit Insurers and other strategic choices of banks were presented throughout the Conference, including discussion of other topics such as: Timely disclosure of bank weaknesses and early intervention: When to intervene?  Challenges in bank resolution: Insights on the solvency and liquidity funding, risk assessment and determination of the market value of the Bank’s bankruptcy, Firm Lehman Brothers bankruptcy and the financial crisis case lessons learned, Cyprus Bank recovery and resolution lessons learned.
