Managing Director represented DIFK at the 35th IADI Regional Committee Meeting and International Conference

Managing Director of the Deposit Insurance Fund in Kosovo, Mrs. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi attended the 35^th meeting of Annual European Regional Committee (ERC) within the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) held on April 5, 2017. The meeting adopted all points provided in the agenda and discussed the work progress of the Committee as well as two Researches decided to be submitted to the Research Committee. During the meeting, the Managing Director, Mrs. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi reported on the DIFK progress, stressing the provision of the second credit line with EBRD and drafting of proposals for upgrading the Memorandum of Understanding with the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo. ERC also held a workshop on Technical Assistance on the Source of Funds and their use, to discuss basic criteria of IADI Core Principle 9 and experiences from different countries.

During the same event, the Managing Director, Mrs. Violeta Arifi- Krasniqi attended the ERC International Conference on: Dealing with Banking Crisis: Where are we today?, held on 7 April 2017, which addressed topics in three different sessions: 1. Financial Stability, Legislation and State Aid: Did we strike the Right Balance?; 2. Sharing the burden of bank failures, and 3. The DIS’s role in the wider system for Preparing for Crisis and Crisis Management.
