DIFK staff completes the development of the “7-Day Action Plan for Depositor Compensation” at a joint workshop

DIFK staff held a joint workshop to finalize the Standard Operating Procedure on the Depositor Compensation Process in an insured event and its simulation. The procedure details steps to be taken to meet the 7-Day Compensation Plan for all stages of compensation, including deadlines, responsible staff and alternates. Additionally, annexes necessary to ensure operational readiness of staff and partners involved in the depositor compensation process were reviewed and finalized. The workshop was held in Tirana, Albania on May 22-25, 2017.
While on May 25, 2017 a meeting was held with representatives of the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency and Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo, with the participation of DIFK Managing Director, Ms. Violeta Arifi-Krasniqi and ADIA Director General, Mr. Genci Mamani, as well as employees from both institutions. The purpose of this meeting was to exchange experiences on operational procedures for the implementation of a compensation process. Specifically, at this meeting, an agreement was reached for organizing two joint simulations during 2017. Such simulations aim to improve the professional capacities of employees in both institutions, and enables mutual support in the event of an insured event.
The meeting was held within the framework of ongoing cooperation and exchange of experiences and best practices of ADIA with counterpart, mostly regional, deposit insurers.
