Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo participates in the simulation exercise organized by the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency

Upon the invitation of the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADIA), on December 6 and 7, 2021, DIFK staff led by the Managing Director Mrs. Arijeta Neziraj – Elshani participated in the simulation exercise organized by ADIA in Tirana. Participation in this simulation was aimed at exchanging experiences and building institutional capacity to carry out the compensation process as well as to provide mutual support in case of bank closure.

The simulation was performed for two days, where on the first day activities for depositor compensation were simulated, while on the second day the simulation focused on withdrawal of deposits at the agent bank by a group of depositors, ending with the conclusion of the compensation process.

Participation in this simulation, in addition to further strengthening the cooperation between DIFK and ADIA, also improves the level of readiness and professional capacities needed to fulfill the mandate of these institutions for the protection of depositors.
