Visit from the delegation of the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency

On 24.04.2025, the Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo welcomed on an official high delegation of the Albanian Deposit Insurance Agency (ADI), headed by the General Director Mr. Genci Mamani.

Managing Director, Ms. Shqipe Devaja, appreciated the cooperation over the years between DIA and DIFK and the most recent cooperation on further strengthening of the deposit insurance system in both jurisdictions for protection depositors and maintaining financial stability.

During the visit, both institutions discussed recent developments in respective jurisdictions as well as important topics of common interest, including expected reforms in the field of deposit insurance regarding the harmonization of legislation with the European Directive on Deposit Insurance Schemes and the Bank Recovery and Resolution Directive.

The main topic of discussion was the reform of the risk-based premium system based on the European Banking Authority (EBA) guidelines on risk-based contributions.  At the end of the visit, both heads of institutions highly appreciated current cooperation and committed to further continue and deepen the cooperation with the aim of advancing deposit insurance systems with European and international standards.
