Deposit Insurance Fund of Kosovo signed an agreement with Raiffeisen Bank Kosovo selected as the payout agent bank for the DIFK for the period 2025-2028.

DIFK, based on best international practices for strengthening operational readiness, selects one of its member banks to act as its payout agent in order to effectively implement a compensation process in case of an insured event.

The selection process was carried out in accordance with “DIFK Rule on the process and criteria for selecting a payout agent bank” and includes two phases. The first phase is an invitation to all member banks to express their interest in being an agent bank for DIFK. While the second phase includes the evaluation of the offers received on the fulfillment of the technical and organizational criteria in accordance with the DIFK’s invitation for expression of interest and the selection of the payout agent bank approved by Decision of the Management Board.

Following the selection, the payout agent bank will be part of regular simulation exercises, as well as regular training with the aim of strengthening operational readiness to carry out, if necessary, the compensation of depositors in fulfilling the mandate of the DIFK.
