DIFK in cooperation with member banks during the period of 14-18 February 2022 have conducted testing of the Deposit Compensation System (DCS)

In order to ensure the DIFK’s operational readiness to fulfill its mandate for protecting small depositors and to contribute to financial stability, DIFK together with member banks has conducted testing of the DCS.

The purpose of this test is to ensure a fast, efficient and timely process for depositor compensation in case of closure of a bank by the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK).

This is a regular process carried out by DIFK in cooperation with member banks in order to continuously improve the quality of depositors’ data and to ensure reporting by banks according to the deadline set by the DIFK rule.
