Managing Director represented DIFK in meetings of the IADI Executive Council and the Conference

Managing Director, Ms Violeta Arifi Krasniqi, in the capacity of a member, represented the DIFK at the meetings of the Committees and the 55th meeting of the Executive Council of IADI (International Association of Deposit Insurers), where among others, the Council elected the Deputy Chairperson, Mr. Giuseppe Boccuzzi, who is also the European Regional Committee Chairperson. The Executive Council discussed the various financing options of the Association and heard the presentation of the IADI Adviser on the Banking Solution Financing Policy with alternatives on approach.
The International Conference on “Deposit Insurance: Promotion of Accessibility and Convenience” was held under the auspices of the event. The conference addressed the progress of the policy making by regulators to build technology-based banking innovation infrastructure (“fintech”) and discussed on options and challenges for deposit insurers. In addition, the Conference addressed the topic of technology use in the area of compensation and communication with deposit insurers.
The event took place from 28th of May to 1st of June 2018 in Moscow, whereby the Corporation Deposit Insurance Agency of Russia was the host of the event.
